TAMUS AI Chat (tti.tamus.ai) - Getting Started Guide
What is TAMUS AI Chat?
The Texas A&M University System provides access to protected versions of many Artificial Intelligence (AI) Chat services. When accessed with your TTI user login, TTI employees can confidently utilize multiple AI models, knowing they comply with System data protection policies and contractual agreements, ensuring your data remains private and is not used for external model training.
Data Security
TAMUS AI Chat supports TTI data classified as Public, Agency Internal, and Confidential. For Restricted data, the user must verify if the research contract has any special controls.
Multiple Models in One Place
TAMUS AI Chat gives you access to many commercial AI models (Anthropic's Claude, Google's Gemini, Meta AI's Llama, OpenAI's GPT and O3, etc.) and allows you to run prompts against multiple models at the same time.
Usage Limits
All System members receive a daily usage limit, which resets at midnight UTC (between 6–7 p.m. Central Time). Usage depends on the AI models used and the complexity of the prompt. Learn more about daily usage limits.
How to access TAMUS AI Chat
There are two ways to access the TAMUS AI chat tool:
- Directly access the site from our unique URL tti.tamus.ai and login using your TTI account credentials:
- You can also go to the main tamus.ai portal and selecting the TTI logo for agency login:
- After logging in, you have access to the TAMUS AI Chat featuring multiple secure models:
